hey! sorry for not continuing the hk post, I'll finish it when I get back to SG on the 26th (: Currently in Kuching, all prepared to spend Xmas with relatives and cousins here (paternal side!).
These days I went to the zoo, bugis, vivo city, USS, orchard, practically all the popular sites in SG to show my relatives around! You can view the photos
here and here hehe. And bought loads of presents for my little cousins all using my own $. Not on good terms with my dad.
Anw I wanna rant about how I used to be an avid reader in the past, visiting the Marine Parade library every now and then, carrying a tote bag of books to return, and returning home with another bag of new books, always excited. My fav authors include Jacqueline Wilson, JK Rowling, James Lee (muahaha), Darren Shan and Harrison something (author of The Clique books) hahaha. I remember reading this very good book of which I forgot th title. It kinda include the words "liar", "dog" and "notes" can somebody help? No longer recall the plot :X I appreciate books, I really do! Reading is such an incomparable joy haha. I have this bad habit of speeding through books especially those thrilling ones and after reading it I ended up forgetting loads of minor details. Books ought to be savoured slowly and thoroughly~
Recently I watched the front few episodes of WGM (we got married), the girl was Seohyun one of the SNSD girls haha and I was really impressed by her love for reading! She constantly reads a variety of books including self-improvement ones. *stares with admiration* haha, really some books can be enlightening as much as inspirational.
I stopped reading with the introduction of the computer, the new media and other unworldly distractions in my teenage years. Time spent relentlessly and hardcore-ing reading books were replaced with FB, going out for movies, television programs, shopping,"slacking", and tons of unproductive and unsatisfying hobbies. Which was really sad. Time really flies and I was so unaware of the useless stuff I was doing sometimes haha. In primary school, I remember we had book logs, and during assembly we were all told to bring books to read. I was a really good reader! Always had brimming book logs. Now I am ashamed haha. Maybe not even a decent good read in a year. (excludes school literature, even though TKAM is a brilliant piece of work.)
Now I'm determined to change! Esp for the year of 2012 - Read at least 3 good books for the year! (currently eyeing 1Q84, but hope I can get it in the library!) This hols, i have started on a junior french book, and attempting to read finish The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night Time haha it's a cute book. Alrighttt cya!
